On Friday, November 14th, the historic Frauenkirche became the stage for “Science4Peace Slam”—an evening dedicated to exploring how science can foster societal peace. The event was a collaborative effort by Stiftung Frauenkirche Dresden, United Nations University-FLORES, and Technische Sammlungen Dresden.
Against the backdrop of our rapidly changing world, the slam brought forward topics of immense relevance: infection immunology, humanitarian law, and urban climate justice. With an international line-up and contributions both in German and English, the event powerfully demonstrated that science speaks a universal language—one that can build bridges, inspire, and unite.
Congratulations, Neelakshi!
We are especially proud of Neelakshi Joshi, who wowed the audience and jury alike with her powerful slam on urban climate justice. Her win is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the ongoing impact of the Mic4Peace community.
The Spirit Lives On
While the International Peace Slam Dresden is currently not active, our community’s spirit continues to shine through the accomplishments of our slammers. Events like Science4Peace Slam show that the power of words, stories, and science can truly change the world—one stage at a time. Stay tuned for more updates and keep supporting peace, dialogue, and understanding in Dresden and beyond!
