Parvathy Chandrasekhar first came to Europe in 2012 to pursue her Masters in Hydrology at TU Delft in the Netherlands. After her Masters, she worked with a start up in The Hague and with a water governance organization in Geneva. She came to Dresden in October 2015 to do her PhD at the United Nations University (UNU-FLORES) in Dresden, a joint programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden. Her research focuses on how different land-uses affect the soil and water cycle on earth and its implications for food security.
Parvathy finds that the pursuit of peace is a life-long journey. She believes that the first step towards bringing peace to the world is to find peace within oneself. The journey of every person seeking peace is different but it is the struggle that unites us all. She finds her peace in dancing, writing and gorging on spicy food!

പാർവതി ചന്ദ്രശേഖർ 2012 ൽ യൂറോപ്പയിൽ വന്നു. നെതർലാന്റ്സിലെ ടി.യു. ഡെൽഫിൽ ഹൈഡ്രോളജിയിൽ മാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് നേടി. മാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് ഡിഗ്രിയ്ക് ശേഷം നെതെര്ലാന്ഡ്സിൽ ഉള്ള കമ്പനിയിലും ജനീവയിൽ ഉള്ള ഓർഗനൈസഷനിലും ജലസുരക്ഷയും ആയി ബന്ധ പട്ട തുറകളിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തു. ഒക്ടോബര് 2015 മുതൽ ഡ്രെസ്ഡനിലെ United Nations യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ PhD ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. മണ്ണിനെയും ജലത്തിന്റെയും ഓരോ പ്രതെയ്കകളെ പറ്റി ഗവേഷണം ചെയുന്ന ജോലി ആണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ചെയുന്നത്. ഇതു ലോകഭക്ഷ്യസുരക്ഷക് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുന്നത് ആണ്.
സമാധാനത്തിനു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള യാത്ര ഒരു ജീവിത യാത്രയായി പാർവതി കരുതുന്നു. സ്വയമേവ സമാധാനം ആണ് ലോക സമാധാനത്തിനു ഉപാധി. പാർവതിയെ സന്തുഷ്ടയാകുന്നത് നൃത്തവും,എഴുത്തും പിന്നെ രുചി ഉള്ള ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുന്നതും
